Formed in 2003, Standby For The Bomb shines the rock and roll format through a prism of musical approaches. The band’s raw energy and focus on quality song craft has led to creative compositions coupled with words of social relevance. With a flair for catchy hooks and memorable melodies, Bomb songs are the product of intense artistic slavery. The band has recently released their self-titled debut album.

Based in the town of Invermere, B.C. the band has been performing throughout southern British Columbia and Alberta playing venues in Golden, Calgary, Canmore, Red Deer, Fairmont, Panorama, and elsewhere. After a short break from performing during the winter of 2005/06, this band has labored in the recording studio, launched a web site, and are currently preparing for a mid-summer tour beginning in Invermere on Aug 6/06. Band History

Standby For The Bomb is the cumulative efforts of Ben Cameron, Graeme Martin, Aaron Cameron, and Fraser Smith. The band formed in 2003 after the break up of a previous band, The Gentlemen Of Leisure. Adding Australian born Graeme Martin to the forefront of their guitar sound, brothers Aaron and Ben Cameron stayed in the woodshed for nearly one and a half years writing close to 20 songs with their new guitarist. After a string of shows through 2004-2005, and the changes of three bass players, the group joined with bassest Fraser Smith. Fraser is a well rounded musician who plays in various groups with styles from Celtic to Choral. Standby For The Bomb has enjoyed a loyal fan base in their home town of Invermere, B.C. headlining several community events and performing at local music venues. The Band has its sites set on a steady summer/fall touring schedule to promote the release of their self-titled, debut album in the spring of 2008.
